Understanding our client’s needs/specific design challenges
Straton works with a wide spectrum of industries (automotive, aerospace, consumer, electronic, industrial, medical and military). We are also an FAA repair station (XTRR859K) for the repair of aircraft components.
We can often suggest a solution, process or material to accommodate our customers’ challenging requirements.
Engineering solutions with our design team
Straton engineers and CNC programmers utilize many design programs including Mastercam and Solidworks. We are flexible to integrate our skills with your design leaders at our site, yours or remotely as needed.
Completing your project
We possess talent in a multitude of precision machining arenas: cnc milling & turning (3 and 4 axis), VTL for large capacity turning, jig grinding, wire and sinker EDM, and multi-cavity composite and rubber mold manufacture and repair. We can facilitate the entire manufacturing process including any required outside processes such as heat treating, NDT etc.
Quality inspection
Our extensive quality control capabilities allow us to provide certification to customer requirements. Often we are working to such stringent finish requirements such as RMS 2 and RMS 4 and to material tolerances to .0001
Two large Brown and Sharpe Global CMM’s also allow us to reverse engineer & verify components. We use x-ray spectroscopy to confirm material identification.
Other key instruments valued by our customer base are our ultrasonic CMM probe and non contact hardness tester.
We currently hold an AS9100 certificate.
